Education to Employment
2nd Chance is a specialist ‘education to employment’ training course created to support unemployed 18-24 year olds on their journey to a career.
Our free six month career preparation course supports all trainees to secure functional skills qualifications in English, maths and ICT (up to GCSE C grade equivalent). Training is delivered through subject specific workshops alongside five employer-commissioned projects.
We have strong links to industry and our employer partners are leading companies in accountancy, catering and construction. We offer work placements over three months with our employer partners and guaranteed interviews at the end of the programme with employers from our broad network. Once in work graduates are supported with a personal mentor for 12 months as they develop in their career.
2nd Chance will prepare you for a career of your choice with six months of:
- English, Maths and ICT functional skills training
- Live work projects and industry qualifications
- 1:1 careers coaching
- Structured work placement
- 12 months mentoring as you start your new career
